How the Earth Began

Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, there was no Earth, no sky, no plants, no people. There was only dust and little stones flying through space, floating as if they were playing ring around.

These little dust pieces began to gather together. They bumped into each other, stuck together, and formed little balls. These little balls grew bigger and heavier. After a long, long time, a very large lump was formed. This lump was our Earth.

In the beginning, the Earth was very hot, it looked like a bubbling soup. It rained fire and the ground was made of molten rock. But after millions of years, the Earth cooled down. Its shell became hard, like a real rock.

Then mountains, oceans, rivers, and clouds began to appear. The rain fell and filled the seas. The sky turned blue and, slowly, the first little plants appeared. Very small animals also appeared. And over time, all the animals appeared, the dinosaurs, and, much later, human beings.

And so, after so much chaos in space, the place where we live today was born. Our home called Earth.
